Statement
I specialize in treatment of trauma in children, teens and adults. I combine a variety of treatment modalities to develop a treatment plan for each individual. In working with adults with a history of early childhood traumas, I have also targeted and successfully treated their related symptoms including dissociative symptoms, depression, anxiety and attachment disorders. I have also enjoyed tailoring the treatment to the needs of the individuals with special needs, whether it be those on the spectrum (ASD) or those with impairment in language or/and cognitive development.
In developing a treatment plan for each individual or family, I draw from the following therapies: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy- Trauma Themes, Internal Family System (IFS) an Ego State Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy (Jungian), Play Therapy, Psychodynamic therapies, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), behavioral therapies, Narrative Therapy, components of PCIT, DBT, Marschak Interaction Method (MIM) and Theraplay activities.
