Clair Mellenthin, LCSW holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Throughout her career, she has focused on providing therapy to children, teens, and their families. Before joining Wasatch Family Therapy as the Director of Child and Adolescent Services, she worked in a successful private practice. Ms. Mellenthin is a sought after supervisor, training graduate students and interns in play therapy, and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Utah MSW program, and Utah Valley University. In addition to being an experienced play therapist and teacher, Ms. Mellenthin frequently presents professional play therapy and family therapy trainings and appears on local and national TV and radio as an expert on children and family issues.
I have dedicated myself to the well-being and social integration of every client who seeks to make lasting changes for themselves. My therapeutic style evokes the strength and wisdom already inherent within each individual. I facilitate the recognition of wholeness and provide the tools which aid in the process of obtaining meaningful goals. My role as a therapist is to guide and inspire those who seek my services through my empathetic, straight forward approach. The education I offer focuses on cultivating resilient coping skills which secure a foundation for truly lasting changes.
Throughout the years my diverse experiences have assisted me in understanding and appreciating the complex workings of human potential. I celebrate the differences and work to ensure that treatment is geared towards the uniqueness of every case.
