Using Expressive Arts in Play Therapy Supervision

This training is for those who are currently RPT/S or are working toward the RPT/S credential.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., training begins at 9:00 AM

Using Expressive Arts in Play Therapy Supervision

This workshop will focus on the use of expressive arts in play therapy supervision. Participants will learn how to use play in their supervision to help supervisees become empowered as therapists, develop their own self- awareness, and learn to trust their intuition in therapy. Come and learn the value of using creative play in the supervision relationship.


· Learn how to incorporate play as part of the supervisory relationship

· Identify the roles of the supervisor and supervisee through playful interventions

· Through the use of expressive arts learn how to help supervisees identify counter transference that occurs during the play therapy process

· Understand how playful supervision enhances the relationship between supervisor and supervisee

3 CEU’s


*This training is limited to 40 people due to space. Please Park on Orem Blvd on the street. The parking lot cannot accommodate the extra cars.

Bio. Information:  John has been practicing therapy for thirty years and is the owner of the Center for Sandplay and Expressive Arts.  He has been on the Utah Association for Play Therapy Board for over two decades.  John teaches a series of sand play and expressive arts trainings.  He is the father of nine children and has three grandchildren.  One of John’s passions is to create, design, and develop expressive art interventions.
